Our First Meet of the Season - Monday- April 11 - Naperville North HS
1) MEET TIME - All athletes will meet with their coaches as on regular practice days, and will ride the bus from Hill to the meet. Meets are generally scheduled to start at 4:30, but this start time depends on how quickly the High School teams finish their practice and clear the field. Once the meet begins, the AVERAGE length of the meet is 2.5 - 3 hours. This time tends to vary widely depending on how many teams are at the meet, how many athletes are entered into each event, and how quickly athletes are showing up for their events. We highly recommend that you keep in contact with your child throughout the meet to get a better estimate as to our completion time.
2) TRANSPORTATION - Although athletes are encouraged to stay and cheer on their teammates, if you wish to pick up your child directly from the meet, please sign the check out sheet located at our team camp. Please remind your student to take their bag with them to the meet if you are planning to pick them up from there.
If you are planning to pick up your athlete from Hill, please stay in contact with your child to help ensure that you are meeting them at Hill when the bus arrives. If you have not already done so, please sign up for our team text alert system, and I will send you a text when the meet ends, to help you time your arrival at Hill. (Send the text @hill-track to 81010 to sign up)
3) WEATHER - The forecast for Monday is expected to be cold, and it will get VERY COLD as the evening goes on - Please send your student to school with plenty of layers, coats, and hats for the meet. We are outside for the entire time, and temperatures can still drop into the 30's...
4) UNIFORMS - due to a delay at the printer, our uniform tops will be handed out to athlete on Monday, before we board the bus for the meet. If you ordered sweats online, they are expected to arrive on Wednesday. Please make sure your athlete comes prepared with sweats and layers for Monday's meet.
5) VOLUNTEERS - Hill is hosting Friday's meet, so we can always use as much help as possible. If you would like to volunteer to help work the meet, please let me know via email. No experience is necessary...if you can press a button or read a measuring tape, you can help.
